The Shreveport Judging Center of the American Orchid Society meets the fourth Saturday of each month at the R. S. Barnwell Memorial Garden and Art Center at 601 Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport, Louisiana. Exceptions to judging dates may occur in November and December due to major holidays. Dates can be confirmed by reference to Orchids...the Bulletin of the American Orchid Society or by calling the R. S. Barnwell Memorial Garden and Art Center at (318) 673-7703.
Student training begins at 11am followed by lunch from noon until 1pm.
American Orchid Society judging begins at 1pm.
The public is invited to submit blooming orchid plants or cut orchid flowers for judging. Plants and flowers submitted for judging must be registered prior to 1pm. Judging proceeds until all plants nominated have been judged. Interested persons are invited and urged to attend the judging sessions as observers.
